Bijoux Box Sneak Peek...

Just a little peek at the Bijoux Box I altered for my swap partner for the Moulin Rouge event.
Creams, beige and browns were her colors. This was truly a labor of love! I hope she likes it...

Fabulous Friday Finds....

I found several hats that were a little shabby, but the velvet flowers called my name...

When I saw this mourning pin I had to have it. I didn`t buy the matching one. I should have because it was probably her husband. Oh well, you can`t buy everything! The half doll was a steal. Two gorgeous collars a dollar each. Other goodies to alter....

I did splurge on these sweet 1900`s silk flower rosettes. A rosary, and of course a little bling...

This 1930`s silk is fabulous. I had to bargain, but still got it and the beautiful laces at fair prices. Couldn`t resist!

The last weekend of every month Nashville has a flea market at the State Fairgrounds. Even though it was quite chilly, I managed to sift through and dig through several different booths to finds some treasures!

I wish I could take some of you along with me. It`s worth the trip...

A Little Moulin Rouge Bling!

Oooh La La! I am attending Kim Caldwell`s Moulin Rouge event next month. I joined a Bracelet Bling swap where we swap 15 pieces of vintage bling and send a bracelet along with them. I`ll be sending these beauties to our swap hostess and she will attach them to our bracelets. How fun to see my bracelet put together with other can can girl`s vintage bling! I`ll be taking a little bit of 14 other girls home with me. How fun is that?.......

Happy Pink Saturday!

A Sweet Adoption......

With three boys and a husband, I adopted this precious panda from Olga at Ava Teddy.

She makes the sweetest pandas! They are all jointed.

Meet Princess... I found a crown for this four inch sweetie. She loves to ride in this mary jane shoe. I think she`s going to find her prince...

I am linking to Beverly`s Pink Saturday.... Come and see the beautiful pinks!

Fabulous Friday Finds....

These three books are incased in this larger book on the right. What an incredible find. A sweetheart book with beautiful love poems and stories. Both from the 1920`s.

A pink velvet headband (looks like a crown) with millinery and a lovely hat with velvet flowers....my favorite!

I love Victorian and antique collars. I couldn`t resist and a sweet jewelry box with blue velvet lining.

This is my favorite find of the day! A Victorian little girl`s dress. It`s so sweet... I`ll have to keep it displayed and wonder what sweet little girl wore this and where.

Another fun Friday hunting and discovering vintage treasures. Until next week.....I hope you find some treasures too!

A Few Finished Projects

This Cathrine Moore paper doll image was inspired by Jackie Peters.

Just a few of many projects I finished this week. It seems the more I get done, the more I want to do! Oh to just sit in my creative space and play all day....

A Valentine Marie Doll And Play Day.....

This is a Valentine Marie I made for a friend. I bought a download from Rhonda`s originals and enlarged it then printed it on fabric. I was so inspired by Holly Stinnett. I have bought and made some of Holly`s dolls. It`s a true labor of LOVE!

Saturday was play day. Each month I have a mini workshop or project that my friends share with me. Of course lunch is always included! Organic chili with cornbread, homemade cookies, and raspberry cheesecake.

This is the finished Valentine Banner. I draped it across my china cabinet. I love how my vintage china looks as a background.
Kana posted her lovely banner on her blog!
Have a lovely Valentine`s Day!

Fabulous Friday Finds!

Ugly hat but shabby velvet flower. I literally dug down to the bottom of a huge dusty box to find this!

This is the top of the hat. Who would have worn such a funny looking hat? Lovely millinery, though.

I was so delighted to find a 1940`s garter! Such pretty ribbon flowers. I love the pink and blue! Maybe I`l wear it to Moulin Rouge....

Sweet story book dolls. I love how their eyes open and close. At $3.00 each they were a steal! (Baked cookies while taking pictures).

These Baby Ben alarm clocks were pricey but the rhinestones won me over. They both work... so if nothing else, I`ll never be late!

Some Valentine Love.....

...And a HEART Collection!

My Sweet Valentine angel made by Jason Parker Counce. I love her vintage velvet heart and basket!

A Valentine I bought for Hubby a few years back and a vintage corsage.....yes, I wear it!

A sweet Valentine doll made to put on a heart box from the 1940`s... I gave her an arm and cleaned her up a bit. A steal at $3.00! I love her.

A simple display of my collection of vintage heart boxes, favorite hats, and vintage Valentines!

My quest for a blue heart finally ended in success. I searched high and low and found this beauty....pricey but worth it!

I`ll end this post with this close up of my 1930`s find. A little bit shabby, but the silk pleated on the entire front won my heart!

Have a Happy Heart day! I hope your day is Blessed and full of LOVE!

Put A Feather In Your Hat!

Vintage Ostrich feathers....you gotta love them! I found these from a women in her 70`s whose mother was a milliner. I passed them by a couple of months ago and went back to buy them. I couldn`t believe they were still there and 50% off!
So many possibilities don`t you think? Love the colors and textures.
Happy Tuesday....
