New Display For My Hats!

I have been looking and hunting for A vintage floor hat stand. I found them at various antique shops and malls, but nobody would sell them....
I went to a small shop that I visit often and in a dusty corner I found one!
What??? I never thought of looking there before. At first he said no but I put that pitiful look in my eyes and made a good offer and he sold it to me!
I threw it in my car and cleaned it up.....

Before.....

After.....

A few new ones....

Yes, I`ll admit I love vintage hats and when I see a pink one my heart melts....
I`ll be wearing some of these so be watching for the crazy blonde with flowers on her head!

A New Mechantile In Town!

When I walked into my friend Jane`s store in Nolensville, Tn. Roses And Rustics, I noticed right away her new mercantile items not to mention the awesome large antique displays!
I love all her new items and wanted to take home one of everything! Here are just a few peeks. I especially love the lip balm in pink with the beautiful graphics~

I took this lovely handmade bust home with me! Can you believe someone can actually make these?? Love her....

And look at this mercantile cabinet! It holds everything from soaps to lotions and all things smelling wonderful! Amazing....

Some New Creations....And Pink!

I`m always trying to think outside the box....I found several baby rattles a couple of months ago and thought with the sterling rattle, they would be a great focal point for a fun necklace! Then I found a pink one....Eeek! I never knew babies in the 40`s and 50`s had it sooo good~
These are my new love along with litho buttons. Hard to find but worth it when you do.

I love these micro mosaic pins and jewelry pieces. I have a large collections of these and this is what I came up with using a large broach and vintage brass Victorian finding...

OOh...I found a nice group of shoe knives from the 1800`s! I have sold a couple of necklaces I made but this one is my favorite. I love using mother of pearl to hang the shoe on. This wonderful shoe shows so much detail. I have a few left. Red, black, and leopard. I also found a key knife and gun knife! How fun! (I`ll post them later)....

A few more mended hearts... These are a labor of love but fun to create. With a kiln, it makes it easier making more than one at a time... Just in time for Valentine`s Day!

I`ll be visiting Beverly`s Pink Saturday... Come join me for some Valentine fun!

Vintage Love.....

After having such a busy month, I thought I`d decorate my house with some vintage love....
My collection of vintage heart boxes....(the big silver one is a new additon from my friend
LuLu Kellogg)....
A few of my vintage and Victorian Valentines, and some sweet reminders of yeasteryear....

Lastly, a sweet Valentine`s hanky. I found this last year. I didn`t know how hard it was to find these! I`ll be carrying this in my purse. Maybe I`ll use it...or not?
