Part II.....

What Do I Do With That?

In an earlier post, I showed items friends bought and asked me "What do I do with that?" Here`s just a few projects done earlier using some things I have collected through the years.....

Ever wonder what to do with those Victorian frames? I used an image from Karla`s and Beth`s Romantic Christmas e-zine (on my sidebar) and used a mica sheet to cover for patina. Half flowers, leftover millinery, and yes, even velvet ribbon from an old hat...nothing gets thrown away around here! Some vintage lace to hang it.

Feedsack fabric, Easter grass, a sweet locket held by the bird`s mouth. (I love vintage lockets)!

And those industrial bobbins I have lying around everywhere. Vintage tarts and jello molds....Leftover tiny flowers found in a little cubby.

Looped seam binding (have plenty of that everywhere), feedsack fabric and industrial spool, Maya Road pearl stick pins.
These look nice grouped together especially if they are different heights.

A little vignette showing the heights of the bobbins. A sweet little Valentine bunny joining in! (A Jason Parker Counce creation).
I hope I have given you a few ideas of what to do with all the vintage goodness we all collect. Creating them into treasures......Priceless!

  5. I have so many things I've found but need inspiration to create with them. I can use all of these wonderful ideas! Thanks for sharing. Wish we lived closer - I'd invite myself over for lessons! Love your Friday finds, too.
