What Do I Do With It?

I had a few friends come by that have been collecting the same things I have over the months. I`ve shared my wallpapers, laces and trims, and buttons, beads, and baubles. As they looked through their stash, they looked at me and asked: What do I do with it?
Here are a few samples of projects I`ve done and some we will create next year!

A simple canvas covered with french script, lace trim, buttons and millinery. I also love to use beeswax on just about everything, especially paper.

This is a piece of antique quilt I cut and framed. I wanted to display part of my rhinestone buckles, pins, and clips. I painted and distressed an ugly dark frame.

I love collecting old wallpaper. My favorite is the 1900`s. Very fragile, but the colors are wonderful. I also found a way to display some more of my favorites! I used mini canvases, wallpaper, lace, mica tiles, frozen charlottes, a rhinestone buckle, (I cut away the bar in the middle to "frame" the rose on the wallpaper), and millinery. A great way to display an old piece of jewelry you don`t wear any longer.

Either my projects were crooked or I was taking crooked pictures.... Oh well, just a few ideas that might help you create something with your stash of collectables and treasures!

  2. Hi Kim,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving your nice note. I love your sweet, pink themed blog design. I wish I was going to Silver Bella again this year - I know you and Kana will have a wonderful time and I'll be thinking of you. Can't wait to see what you create this year!

    Hugs,
    Sharon :-)
